2019 Feminist in Residence

Project For Empty Space 2019 Feminist in Residence (FIR) included: Aimee Gilmore, Sara Jimenez, Katrina Majkut, Julie Marie Seibert, fayemi shakur, and Sophia Wallace.

During the residency, our gallery was transformed into a collaborative studio space. The selected artists developed work that speaks to the incubator’s mission; addressing issues of female safety, gender roles, ownership, and agency. The 2019 Feminist in Residence program culminated in a group exhibition, accompanied by public programs and happenings from March 27th, 2019 - April 26, 2019.
