On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe V. Wade. This decision eliminated the constitutional right to an abortion after almost 50 years and led to bans on our bodily autonomy and reproductive care. Project for Empty Space is committed to amplifying the movement and pushing back against this ruling.

Bring to nationwide actions, paste up on billboards, and plaster your walls. Shout to the sky: ABORTION IS NORMAL. and ABORTION IS FOR EVERY(BODY).

A note about the AIN 2.0 design: in solidarity with other organizers and as a tribute to the Green Wave movement, AIN 2022 incorporates shades of green into its materials.

The first iteration was conceived in 2019 by Jasmine Wahi, Rebecca Pauline Jampol, Marilyn Minter, Laurie Simmons, Gina Nanni, and Sandy Tait, following a series of state-level attacks on abortion access. Dubbed an “emergency exhibition”, it opened in New York in 2020.
